I’m so glad to hear about Jeannie Baker’s exhibit, “Mirror”–even if I can’t go see it! I love her work. I just learned that Mirror, the book, a series of collages that show the differences and parallels in the lives of an Australian boy from Sydney and a boy from a remote Berber village in Morocco, will be out in the US by Candlewick Press, in November. I can’t wait to have the book in my hands and to take in all the details of Jeannie’s amazing collages! I’ll definitely be writing about it here.

This is Amazing, Corinne! Soooo many things happening around the world, it’s so exciting! I was supposed to attend a book club this evening at the Arts House, but alas, I won’t be able to make it, since I need to do the “meet-and-greet” with my daughter’s teachers in her school. But thank you for posting all these useful links, I am a tad interested with the Blog Appreciation thingy. Since we’re virtual babies, we need to feel our way through the “blogosphere” so to speak. *Sigh*
Hope things are well with you!

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this amazing resource before Corinne – what an amazing round up. I can’t wait to see October’s listings. A real heartfelt thanks for creating these listings – even if I can’t attend most of the events listed it’s still so exciting and inspiring to see so many kidlit events taking place. Off to dream now!
