IBBY Fund for Children in Crisis: The Haiti Project
Disaster has struck in Haiti with a devastating earthquake. The IBBY Fund for Children in Crisis was formed specifically to provide support to children whose lives have been disrupted through war, civil disorder or natural disaster. Haiti is one of the project countries. Although the immediate need is for relief supplies, there will be a time when this country’s youngest and most vulnerable citizens will need to process and understand their experience through reading and writing and expressing themselves in words. Do consider making a donation to the fund to assist these children in crisis.

Sally,
I was horrified when I saw the news last night. My thoughts go out to all those affected by the earthquake but most especially to the children. To experience such horror and devastation is unimaginable. I’m off to make a donation to the IBBY Fund for Children in Crisis now. Thank you for reminding us all about the important work they do.
