Susan Hughes,
Canadian Festivals (Canada Close Up Series)
Scholastic Canada, 2007.

Rating: G*

Celebrate Canada’s multiculturalism by learning about six of the festivals celebrated by different Canadian ethnic groups. The festivals discussed range from Eid, ul-Fitr and the Chinese New Year to Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa near the end of the year. While there are obviously many more cultural festivals than are discussed here, this book gives a brief glimpse into some of the festivals celebrated in our Canadian melting pot.

Also available in French.
