  Back to Country: U.S.A. | Type: Children's Book Magazine
  Riverbank Review — USA

  What is it?

Founded in 1999, and published quarterly, the elegantly designed American Riverbank Review offers children's book reviews, essays by and about children's books authors, interviews, and other features for readers interested in high-quality books for young readers.

  PaperTigers says...

… Among the relatively high number of American magazines dedicated to children's books, Riverbank Review stands out for the perceptive reviews of books, its elegant and distinct design, and its stimulating articles… sample the quality of it when you read their reviews posted on this website!

  Tell me more…
  • Reviews: each issue includes 40 to 50 thorough reviews that cover fiction, nonfiction and poetry for all ages;
  • Profiles and in-depth Interviews will help readers know better favourite authors;
  • The Cover Art of each issue is done by a different children's book illustrator, giving every copy of the magazine a different flavor, and making it worth collecting!
  • One for the Shelf is the last page of the magazine, and it's entirely dedicated to a detailed review (completed by a sample of the illustrations) of a particularly worthwhile book. A nice way to help readers building a home-library (or at least a shelf) of future classics!
