Lao Family Community of Minnesota — U.S.A.

  What is it?

The Lao Family Community of Minnesota is a non-profit organization providing services and support to the local Hmong community.

  PaperTigers says...

...This site is a good introduction to Hmong communities in the midwestern U.S.  It provides useful information on culture and history, as well as some great web resources for kids...

  Tell me more…
  • One of the most exciting features the site has to offer is a crafts for kids section (best viewed with Internet Explorer) that includes an online coloring book, the story of a Hmong girl who is living in two cultures, as well as games and puzzles. These materials can be downloaded or printed for fun activities at home or in the classroom!
  • As part of their English Language program, students took photos and told their stories. You can peruse their photo book online to learn more about the immigrants' daily lives.
