... Bookwink is all about great books for kids: short, snappy reviews, by a friendly host, captured by web videos that are sure to get their imagination going.

• Sonja Cole is the host and book reviewer of the video podcasts called Book Talk, which follow a different theme each time and briefly discuss two or three books.
• The podcasts are complemented by an ever-increasing booklist, which can be searched by title, author, subject or grade level.
• The majority of the books listed are fiction and most ‘fact’ books are in the form of narrative.
• Subject areas are broken down under sub-headings and these include: Problems in Society, including racism, refugees, poverty, pollution; Countries & Cultures; Families; Friendship; Natural Disasters (avalanches, droughts, earthquakes and more).
• Although it is aimed at kids, this is also a great stopping-off place for parents, teachers and librarians looking for good books to put in kids’ hands.
