Since graduating from the Ontario College of Art in 1988, Ruth has had the privilege of illustrating over 40 books for children.
Her books have been nominated for the Amelia Francis Howard-Gibbons Award,  Mr. Christie Award, Shining Willow,  Blue Spruce and the Governor General's Award.  Her latest books include the 2007 Blue Spruce Nominated Clara and the Bossy (Annick Press) and The Couch was a Castle (Annick Press, 2006) which were both written and illustrated by her. A Trip with Grandma will be released in the Spring of 2007.
