2007 Robert's Snow: For Cancer's Cure
This gallery features a sample of children's book illustrators' original snowflake paintings. These flakes were created and donated for auctioning off to raise money for the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute, as part of the Roberts' Snow: For Cancer's Cure campaign.
The fundraising campaign, now in its third year, was started by author/illustrator Grace Lin and her husband Robert Mercer after Robert was diagnosed with Sarcoma and told that his best chance of survival was "a cure for cancer." After years of struggle with the illness, Robert passed away in August, at age 35. The campaign, which Lin hopes will "go on forever," honors his life and the lives of all those touched by cancer.
Here we feature a sample of Pacific Rim-related artists who have contributed
to the cause. A Blogging For A Cure effort to spread the word on the campaign and to celebrate those artists who contributed to it this year was organized by Jules and Eisha from
7 Imp, and the illustrators' names below link to their special feature on the blogsphere:

The snowflakes' auction starts on
Nov 19, and your support, whatever form it may take, is very important.
